Yes
Have an m2 on its way to me and sourcing a lens. Funds are tight so probably looking at 50mm collapsible f2 summicron although also looking for a rigid older one or maybe a 35mm.

What do you have on yours? Any cheaper good lenses out there?

I have a Konica 35mm UC-Hexanon and a 50mm Summicron Rigid. Lomography's 32mm/2.8 lens looks interesting, would make for a nice body cap lens, it's RF coupled and tiny. However my current 35mm is small enough really. Voigtlander is worth having a look at, they make some great M-mount lenses.

i had a 50mm rigid summicron which was lovely and a wider voightlander which was also very nice and a lot cheaper, id definitely look to the voightlanders if you want to save a few quid.

I have a Leitz-Minolta CL (so a sort-of Leica) with a M-Rokkor 40mm f/2. Seems a pretty nice lens, but my Leica experience is limited. Probably less useful on the M2 as no framelines...

I use a 35mm summaron 2.8 which was worth about £300 when I got it. It is a great lens and is thought of as a rare bargain in leica lenses.

I also use an oldish 50mm summilux 1.4 but they are not cheap.

Views on a 50mm f1.5 summilux? Seen one available,

Hi all I use a 35mm Summicron asph on my M7 and I am a very happy bunny.

On my 3rd hand M7 I have 35mm Summilux, Zeiss 50mm f1.5 and little used Zeiss 35mm f2 purchased to cover the 12mth period till I received the new lux.
All my non LF lenses are Zeiss and Leica. And I love them all. On a budget I'd go for the Zeiss 50mm f1.5 every time.

I have a Canon 50mm f1.8 LTM lens on my M3 which dates from the early 50's. It cost me £95 + a few quid for a LTM to M mount adapter ring. It's a nice solid piece of silver metal (brass underneath, I assume?) and produces crystal clear shots on B&W or colour film. I bought it as a stop-gap until I could afford a Leica lens, but having used it for a few months I no longer have any desire to spend a grand on a Summicron!

I have a Canon 50mm f1.8 LTM lens on my M3 ...

I have the f/1.4 version on a Canon P (LTM rangefinder) and it's one of my favourite lenses, used for all the photos in my OCOLOF thread. I got mine with the camera from Japan but they come up from time to time on ebay for not that much more than the f/1.8, if you ignore the speculative sellers who appear to think it's made from a combination of platinum and myrrh.
