I have been using the Sony-Zeiss 24mm 1.8 on my a6000 for a couple of years now. It is wonderfully sharp but rather wide. I'm thinking I might want more of a portrait lens for some occasions. What should I look at if price is no barrier?
I'll assume you are looking for a prime (fixed focal length) lens for maximum IQ.
For portrait you would often go with either an 85 or 135 on full frame, so for the A6000 you are probably thinking of the Sony-Zeiss 55 f/1.8, Sony 85 G Master or Zeiss 85 Batis.
For more information on lenses available for the e-mount, have a look at the Dyxum Lens Database, it's a great resource for anyone using Sony cameras
Price is absolutely no barrier with the Sigma 60mm. I've got the 30mm and its terrific - razor sharp and built to last. And I believe the 60mm is even sharper! Yours for £119!!(-:

As per Jonathan... There's always the excellent Sony FE 55mm f1.8 which I own and use now and again on a Sony A7. It really is a very very good lens, or the FE 85mm f1.4 or Batis 85mm f1.8. Both very good so I understand.
Or... if the portraits you'll be doing are of people being still maybe you could cope with manual focus and if so the world of film era and modern manual focus lenses opens up to you
