Edit My Images
Yes
Hey everyone . I'm after a laptop for editing only . Everything else I will use the PC including all my storage etc . I am a wedding photographer and would edit around 2000 images per week and I use abode cc suite . Computers is something I have absolutely no knowledge or interest in but the nature of my work obviously means I have to use one lol . So what would you recommend ?? The only thing I do know is if it's got an apple logo I don't want it .
Budget is up to around £800

Why do you want a laptop for editing? Unless you're stuck for space or must edit away from home, they are the worst choice for that purpose.

If I HAD to have a lappie for that then I'd look at Dell's refurb outlet for an XPS15. Should get one for that price, provided you're careful with spec: generally well made, QHD screen is really good and they tend to be well spec'd.

It is for both of your reasons above . Space and working on the go .

I have an XPS15, bought because I needed a powerful travel laptop with a great screen, so that's certainly what I'd recommend then. :) I just sometimes wished I'd bought a desktop instead & continued using the Macbook for work.

They don't appear to have any on their site :-( I'll have to keep my eye on the site . Thanks for.your reply

IIRC they refresh stock Tuesdays, but it's worth checking from time to time.

The inspiron 2 in 1 7000 series are brand new and I’m leaning towards that, 4K touch screen and 16gb ram too, you can buy a pen and make it a tablet too for editing if you prefer

£1200 for top spec and around £800 at the bottom end not 4K screen though

If you’re still looking, my dell inspiron came today and it’s very nice, all metal it feels like anyway and the screen is responsive, 16gb is more than enough for photoshop. I’m really impressed with it after 1 day (2 weeks of delivering wasn’t as impressive)

If you know a student, you’ll get 5% off too
