I really love the processing on these photos from my mates wedding (taken by Bim Naysmith) and i'd love to be able to recreate the look on some of my christmas pics. Anyone know what kind of processing it is?

Looks like a curves adjustment to me. May have some saturation boost as well. I suspect the Photographer has developed a style and saved it as a preset within his software and simply applies it .

I don't think you could simply download the equivelent "look" but will have to design it yourself.

I would think a mid shadow drop with possibly a mid highlight boost and then either a saturation boost or a vibrance boost depending on the software in use. Wouldn't be to difficult to do in either Lightroom, or the ACR module in Photoshop

Thanks for that, it looks very glossy i wondered if it might be something specific like topaz or lucis art

They remind me of screencaps off video. Have you tried duplicating the layer and setting it to overlay blend mode? that might give something similar-ish.

was going to guess that there might be a bit of Gaussian blur filter in there...at least in the 1st image...

Duplicate layer (CTRL + J), press CTRL + U to bring up the Hue / saturation box, move saturation slider all the way left, close box. On the duplicated layer change the blending mode to soft light, adjust opacity to taste. A bit of dodging and burning.

Thanks i'll give that a try

I'm assuming those instructions are for photoshop but can be easily done in The Gimp

They're nice photos
