Hello,

I am new to this thread and I am currently in the process of buying equipment for my simple home studio. I mostly like to take fashion photos and detail shots.

I am wondering what kind of lighting they are using on these photos? Because I really like the look of them an the lighting both inside and outside, as well as when it is dark. If anyone can give any details of how these were shot and with what lighting, I would greatly appreciate. The images are from a Korean clothing brand website called www.stylenanda.com, click the link and scroll down to find many images.

Nothing special there mate, most if not all of the model shots use a flashgun on camera! Not the built in one though, more like dedicated flash gun like the 580exii. You can quite easily use the same flash in a softbox to achieve the product shots too!
 
What exactly do you like about the lighting?

As far as creative images go, the images are pretty flat and the lighting uninteresting. Probably done with nothing more than a singe brolly or softbox on the outdoor shots. The ones in the car park are similar but the lack of ambient light is under exposing the background.
 
I must say I suspect someone trying to increase their google ratings...

I originally thought that, but couldn't find anything to substantiate it, so put it down to just liking poorly lit images :D

Well, the OP has only made one post, and hasn't been on since he posted the first post.... Plus I suspect the OP is a non-native English speaker...

The images are pretty awful, and I have to agree with [user]arad85[/user] regarding underhand seo motives.

Ignoring the lack of lighting skills, the state of the backdrop itself is incredibly distracting to the main purpose of the image.

I suppose they could provide an interesting example of how not to promote your products.
