What is your favourite sandwich?

I don't eat bread, so I don't eat sandwiches.
 
At this time of year....

Homebaked 'Laucke Crusty White Bread' (from Lakeland) one hour out of the bread machine to rest before slicing, Marks and Spencer thin and crispy unsmoked streaky bacon, sliced cherry tomatoes from my greenhouse picked at the last minute and baby lettuce leaves fresh from the garden..... BLT heaven!

Mines, lashings (lots) of crispy Bacon and fried egg,with black pepper, on a white tea/barmcake,with Daddies brown sauce yummy :thumbs:

Fresh bread rolls with honey roasted ham, with fresh lettuce, shredded.

LAVELY!

Whoever thought that putting butter/ margarine on a butty should be SHOT.

Unless its a bacon butty, when the marg/butter needs to be REALLY thick, it's pouring out when melted.
 
It's got to be:

Cheddar Cheese and Krakus Strawberry Jam in home made bread.

Spam fried in Chilli Oil with Heinz Tommy Sauce.

And for the ultimate.

On a Sunday morning after a good Saturday night out. Nowt in to do a Sunday Lunch...Or after a freezing cold day day out in the Lakes/Dales/Moors trying to grab a shot between howling winds and driving rain.

Grab a big stottie cut it in half and apply butter/marg/low fat spread.

Make a spam omelette (large enough to fit stottie) with plenty of cheese and a pinch of mixed herbs thrown in for good luck. Slide the omelette into the stottie and squeeze on some tommy sauce.

Make a big mug (at leat a pint) of sweet Yorkshire Tea, grab the Sky remote and channel hop. Or sit and edit the days photos on the laptop.

2 thick slices of homemade bread (really thick) a homemade beefburger, thinly sliced fried potatoes (crisps really but homemade) and a small tin of (Heinz) baked beans.

Messy but bl**dy gorgeous.

maybe some pickled beetroot in there if i really want to spoil myself.....
 
There's a greasy spoon 1/2 mile down the road from our estate that does the best sausage and bacon butty ever, so I think that wins the prize. Really like Subway's meatball sandwiches though, especially with onion, lettuce and jalepinos to liven it up a bit!

Spam butty with brown sauce for me, either that or a sausage butty.

Allthough, i've got a bit of a fetish for crisp butties at the minute, can't beat a good crisp butty.

When I worked in North Wales we used to have a "bin lid" every Friday with a full breakfast on it. It was a massive bam/roll kinda thing with bacon, egg, sausage, mushroom, beans etc on it.

Was great at the time but way unhealthy :help:
 
Soreen malt loaf with plenty of Dulce du Leche toffee sauce... Best served with a glass of Nesquick Banana milkshake.
