What is your dream car and why?

The latest aston martin-why. Well they are refined/sporty/sexy/james bondish and above all else-british.

Technically they are American as AM is owned by Ford. But I know what you mean...

DB9 for me - the most beautiful man made thing in world.

Ford sold AM over a year ago. It is now half British (Dave Richards of Prodrive) and Arabian.

I'd have to list a few cars starting with the Ford GT40 mkII, then the more recent reincarnation the Ford GT (there is a bloke in America with a tuned GT which will slay a Veyron). Then there is the Ford RS200, Lotus Cortina Mk1.
In reality if I can find a garage local to store it, the Cortina would be the one I get short of winning the lottery.

But look at it! It'd be like getting into a boat. You'd need to talk it first and have a pier thing just to get over the foot sill.:gag:

I'm very sad.

I'm shopping for a berlingo at the moment.

I used to run one of these

then a 964, but kids really change your priorities.

I had my dream car for a while, ever since launch in 1995 I'd always wanted an Audi A8, they got cheaper and cheaper until I saw a 4.2 Quattro for £2,700 and I couldn't resist

It was fantastic, 0-60 in 6 seconds, every toy you could ever wish for big and safe, didn't keep it long though,10mpg gets a bit wearing after a while, also the reason they're so cheap is the astronomical service costs, I wanted it that much I just ignored them but when I had it a few months I learned of £5,000 gearbox bills and £1000+ cambelt changes so I got rid before a big bill wrote it off

Yeah, but a berlingo though ?

Just sold an a4 quattro estate and the other car is a v70. But sliding doors make so much difference when trying to get kids in and out of car seats with the narrow parking spaces.

(and the wife thinks the berlingo is wonderful.)

I've always really liked the Dodge Viper. The older 8.0L v12 model with hard top. Not that fast considering all the power and supposed to handle like a mule but a sexy beast nevertheless.

Twas a V10 iirc, Engine was from a truck !!

i can tell you that i DONT want one of those stupid 4x4 things that people buy, like the navarro, or the X5 etc, as they are a ****ing pain in the arris, you cant see round them, they are too big and wont stop if you break hard and its behind you, if one hits you anywhere your going to die, and most of the owners are small-penised men with very large chips on shoulders, or bone idol bints who cant be arsed to walk the kids to school.

*rant off*

and........breathe.........

i want a mini

^^^ Looks like they were "only" v10's. Not sure what I was getting it mixed up with.

Absolute Dream Car - Ferrari Enzo, sat in a customer's, and instantly fell in love:love:

Everyday Dream Car - Nissan Skyline R34 GTR Nur Spec, rare as hens teeth, and awesome looking, sounding, goes like stink from a Skunk's butt, awesome piece of Jap muscle:woot:

My Present Dream Car - Honda Civic TypeR '05 plate with some BIG plans:lol::lol: I love my car, my second one, and it is great, goes quick, handles very well, and looks a million times better than the new shape Civic:thumbsdown:

OK then, BB's ultimate car !!

At least 10 years old...

Fast, very fast...

Loads of space inside...

Lovely engine note...

Luxurious...

Reliable...

Its got to be a Volvo 850 T5-R !!

the one I'm driving now!

My lovely, rusty, 'charismatic' (coughs), Older than my girlfriend bmw 325i 2 door auto!

22 years old and has a few interesting characteristics but as a sleeper for annoying the kev-action boys around Bath it's bloody brilliant.

I haven't stopped smiling since I got it.

You beat me to it, would be my list too, though Mk1 ahead of RS200 !!

Have had the good fortune to drive an RS200 - what a car !!

... upset a lot of 'boy racers' :D

I used to drive TVR's a few years ago (had four in succession) and got very friendly with the local dealer. He lent me his Range Rover once (which, of course, at the time used the same V8 engine as TVR's), it had had the full works done on the engine at the TVR factory and was a beast. Looked just like a stock Rangie but left every hot hatch for dead... that was funny!
