Yes
My eldest daughter has just turned 14, so last night 8 of her friends came round for a sleepover.
Remembering how things were when I was that age I shut myself in my bedroom (wife and younger daughter were out for the evening) and waited for the fire alarm to go off, for the sound of glass breaking, for the smell of smoke and the sound of young bodies unable to contain alcohol.
Come 11.00pm I ventured down to assist with cooking pizza to find them all sitting quietly playing on their various tablet-type devices with an almost empty bottle of lemonade the only sign of debauchery.
Come 2.00am there were sweet wrappers in a bowl, several empty plates stacked up by the sink and the lemonade had all gone.
Come 3.00am there was silence - well, the odd grunt or gentle snoring noises.
This morning at 9.15, a parent came to collect one of them - she was dressed and ready to go, bedding neatly folded and breakfast eaten.
The rest are now watching one of the DVD's they didn't get round to watching last night and the few bits of washinh up have been done.

So, as I said, what is wrong with todays youth ?

Outrageous behaviour. I weep for the future :D

And youre complaining :shrug::shrug::shrug::shrug:

I despair - youth should be revolting - that's their job!! Back in my youth we wanted to smash the system, overturn the status quo, and viewed working in commerce with disdain........

Do you wanna swap kids...I don't mind

Believe me, you just got lucky this time;)

I was ... and 30 years on at a school reunion, my old female classmates reckoned I still am :'(

Absolutely disgraceful behaviour, I bet they all said thanks and goodbye as well;)

...and the lemonade had all gone.
Well, I am shocked!

Diabolical! how dare they not wash their plates!

she's still got 5 years to catch up with all the mischief!

Better keep a clopse eye on that lot. Serial killers in the making by the sound of it.

Too funny ( but saved for the possibility of quoting to the news media in the future) :)

I blame the parents. Er... well done.

You really dodged a bullet there, the last one of vikki's (albeit a few years older) ended with a bathroom painted pink via projectile vomited watermelon bacardi breezer, bodies all over the place, an angry parent coming to pick up her son only to find him handcuffed to an older girl.. oh and the fact that he had make up on and was wearing someones mini skirt didnt help! then a 2 am dash to collect someone who was trying to spend the night with her underage boyfriend and one damaged car from his psycho outburst.. sheer hell.. I never let her have another party after that.. one man cant supervise.. you need a team.. preferably SAS!

Wow

My eldest of is about to turn 13 next week.

Unfortunately 'One Direction' was sold out and I'm still kicking myself for being so slow (honest) so I'm taking 8 of them out for a meal next Friday.

They will be good as gold but I know for a fact that Facebook (or online in general) is where the venom flows.
