What is the best way to ensure my prints look like they do on screen (using a company to print)

Pretty much as title really. Quite new to photography and using Lightroom 4
Nikon D90

Just have a basic PB Laptop.

Just no idea that what I am seeing on my laptop screen will be the same when i use a company to print my images.

Advice on all of this would be fabulous please.

This looks okay to me. But I do not have a calibrated / IPS monitor

Think about using srgb as a default for exporting from LR (choose it in the export dialogue). Some labs will issue a stock sample print that you can use as a reference to roughly match your display to (using its brightness, contrast and colour channel controls). This might be quick and dirty but effective.

the most important thing to do is make sure your screen is hardware calibrated. That's the only way you can be sure of what you are looking at.... unless you are really good at interpreting numbers using the eyedropper.
