What is the best option inPS for sharpening?
Should I just use sharpen/sharpen more? Or how about unsharp mask? Not too sure how to use this feature and it's settings properly, anyone have advice on using this?
 
One thing you should know is that every image requires something different.

Web based images need a different output than some printed images.

Trial and error and find what you like best.

For my web based sharpening I use a free action from 'MCP Actions' but only after I have resized. It is controllable.
 
but to help answer I usually use high pass filter on portraits as I can be really precise on where to apply it
