Yes
I own a Nikon D80 that I bought 5 years ago and was wondering what Nikon camera is currently the best all round? I do a lot of family photos but debating branching in product photography or maybe wildlife so need an all rounder. Thanks in advance.

The new D7100 will probably be hard to beat on crop, but given an unlimited budget, I'd go for the D4 any day!!

Best all round has to be the d800, different crop factors and great resolution when needed.

In terms of value for money, has to be the d300.

Nikon F3

I'm assuming you mean current cameras though. Pointless question really, as my needs will not be the same as yours. I think it's the D800.. others will not.

It really depends a lot on what you can afford to spend. Are you looking at a new or a used camera. What lenses do you have?

Personally the two stand outs in the current Nikon range for me are the D7000 and D800. Used D700 also seem to be a bit of a bargain.

I found full frame to be a worthwhile upgrade. I've owned the D700 and the D600. My preference would be the D700.

On crop, probably the new D7100 - the D7000 was (still is) an excellent camera. On FX I'd say D600 or D800.

For the things you are describing I would recommend the D7000/d7100 given that you would probably want the extra reach of the crop sensor for wildlife.

for cheap money i'd say the D90.
very capable & affordable right now plus it has in body motor to use non AFS lenses

i'd go D300 over a D90 if i had the choice too.
some people don't like the heft of a D300 & i thought the smaller D90 would have more general appeal  :)
