What is it about this avatar that Edinburghgary, Betty, and Frank, have adopted,and others that I may not have noticed yet, the splodge that says "crap and proud" but in different colours. I always thought it was forum etiquette to have different avatars. Is it some kind of secret forum society evolving or something:thinking::suspect:

But I am REALY REALY crap :thumbsdown: so what colour would I be, black perhaps, very bright red?.
 
The thing is, how good someone elses photos are is really based on who looks at them! Some might say yep, crap. Others might say wow!

I don't think my shots are all that. That said, there are a few im quite proud of, but otherwise I think they're naff.

However. I love taking photos and will probably not give that it just because I sometimes look at other peoples' work and wonder why mine aren't as good. I suppose it gives me something to aspire to.

I remember a while ago, I pm'd a fellow, current forum member and we had a brief discussion about photography and being motivated to get out there and do it. Suffice to say, it is quite reassuring to know that even the people you consider to be amazing photographers suffer at the hands of photography doldrums. Little does this member know, but I find myself frequently scanning their site for inspiration and ideas for compositions.

I suppose what I'm trying to say, is to find something that makes you go "wow!" and then try and take something similar. With fresh drive and inspiration, you'll get back into it :)

I was thinking of having the badge in black with a black border and black writing but I'm worrried people will just think it's an ink splodge :(

If you are stopping up late Gary I might post a few of the better crap ones, it will take me that long to upload them as I am crap on the computer also.
I think I deserve one of those badges.
I really am disappointed with today's results but as an excuse has anyone ever tried to take good pics with two Cavalier King Charles spaniels on leads that think they can take on every dog they see and always walk as if they are are speed mine-sweeping :bang::bang::bang:

Ta Gary, I did think differently after a second look and a bit of cropping, I suppose there is hope for me yet:)
