I'm going through some photos that I have not processed an noticed this on a few of them, this is on the RAW files.

Are they not just light diffractions and reflections in the water?
 
Possibly a bad choice of picture to demonstrate Darren as they do look like light bouncing off the water. Have you got an example where it would be impossible for it to simply be light bounce and also, can you do a close crop of one so we can see an area in closer detail?

light reflections, the dolphin is causing a sinking spool of water making it spin as it sinks breaking the water surface causing slight overlapping which is then reflecting light.
