Garfunkels defining moment ,, was it with Paul or was it Bright Eyes ? just wondered,,,,,,,,,,:D
 
Definitely the former. Bright eyes is derivative nonsense, the only people who can't see through it are the Arty [PLEASE DON'T TRY TO BYPASS THE SWEAR FILTER] crowd taken in by the Emporers new clothes.

Outside my kids, I don't know exactly what is my greatest passion, what makes me a better man,
what drives me; science, photography, guitar/music or woodworking… no special order here. I've
been devotedly involved with these, passionately compromised since my teens.

What I know is my "post-Art" Paul Simon music collection is most precious and significant since he
is without sidekick. From David Spinoza to Steve Gadd, Simon got the right kind of contribution to
his inspiration and creation. Do I make sense?

No. It's Art Garfunkel not Art Simon or am I missing something? Maybe lost in translation there - post Simon and Garfunkel?

Bright Eyes still makes me cry. Must have been conditioned by Watership Down in my childhood. Poor Hazel :(
 
Not clicked that link but guessing it's a recipe for bunny stew or similar. One of my favourites!

In answer to the question,
Bridge over troubled water is all you need to know. :thumbs:

Although Paul got the arse as it was written about his Mrs, and thought he should sing it.
But I doubt that he could have carried it off TBH.

Bright Eyes in the background adds a certain "je ne sais quoi" to the experience IMO! (As does tucking into venison while watching Bambi.)
 
Aways preferred their older stuff, pre Bridge Over Troubled Waters etc. Art has an incredibly versatile voice

They do my head in. They ruin every tv contest with people performing, and judges choosing, their rubbish out of date tunes. Yuk, overplayed, overrated.
