Bloody hell. No wonder our wives do their nut with us! What would we say if our other halves spent that kind of dosh on dish washing and cooking equipment? ha ha.

By the way...

Don't let the wife know I said that. Because the new Canon 70 - 200 f2.8 L I've just bought will end up in a place where there ain't no light!

Yeah we may well hid the cost of our kit that we buy, but how many pairs of shoes have you bought with matching tops, etc etc in a calender year.

If your other half is anything like mine I reckon that it balances out

580 EXII and a nifty.

how many pairs of shoes have you bought with matching tops

Actually, I've spent more this year on shoes (well boots actually) and matching tops than on camera bits.

...... well it's a very image driven busines you know.

Haha, my missus thinks i've just spent £100 on my 100mm F/2.8 macro, she thinks my 70-200 F/4 L was £100 too, my 24-105 and 10-20 don't even exist ;)

D80
Second hand F60 (first time film camera)
Talk photography neck strap :)

I'm actually in credit so far.....

EF 14L and TS-E90 inbound and MP-E65, EF100 and Kenko 1.4x T/C outbound.

That 2:3 even if the cost doesn't quite balance....looks like I owe myself something :thinking::thinking:...hmmm...got an idea :D

Bob

Ooops....forgot about the extra 30D, CM50 and Gitzo pod that appeared.

Canon 40D

Canon G9

Canon 85mm 1.2L

Mamiya RB67 Pro S with prism head (incoming)

Arca Swiss type ball head.

A couple of CF cards.

I really don't feel I'm short of any kit at all now, but I've said that before.

Hmmm spare back for the Mamiya maybe... :coat:

40D
UpStrap QR Neck strap -> I hate it when shooting in portrait. It keeps hitting the LCD w/ the quick release buckle.
BG-E2 Grip & E-1 Strap
2 4GB Sandisk Extreme III
Hoping to get a Canon 10-22 soon.

HP portable and desktop printers
2GB and 4GB memory cards
Tamron SD 35-105mm f/2.8

Well with the impending birth of my second child I've been doing some wheeling and dealing (not to mention a whole heap of overtime) to "refresh" my gear, so my list goes like this:

Got Rid of:
Canon EF 17-40mm L
Lowepro Slingshot 200AW
Velbon Luxi F Tripod

Got:
Canon EFs 10-22mm
Canon EF 25-105mm L
Lowepro Slingshot 300 AW
Manfrotto 190XPROB tripod & 804RC head
Black TP Optech strap
Sandisk Extreme III 4 GB CF Card

I think that'll be doing me for some time, I know it's alot - but I won't be getting too much more gear now for a looong while methinks! :)

Great thread whoever started it :)

Matt

"Just" a D200, 19-35mm, 28-70mm f/2.8, 100-300mm f/4 and a couple of CF cards....:)

A 4GB EXtreme III, Sun position compass, Sekonic L-758D lightmeter, a Spudz 18% grey card lens cloth and some Sanyo Eneloops. Powerex MAHA C-9000 charger, Gepe Extreme neon card safe.

Another plea to the Canon 300mm f4 IS lens fairy is in order I think

Fairly new to the boards but have been lurking for a while - some great buys on here!

Anyway, so far this year:

Mac Pro (8 core - drool) + 1tb HD + 8gb RAM
Dell 2408WFP
Canon 200 f/2.8 II
Sandisk Extreme III 4gb CF x2

If we're including Christmas stuff then add to that:
Manfrotto 055XPROB + 488rc2 head
Canon 40D
Canon 10-22

I think that's it. Pretty sure my bank account hurts :(

An 82mm polarizer which I broke within minutes of using (again) ;)

New proud owner of a 40D, battery on charge, cant wait to play....

I have added nothing, i am nearly 100% sure i have added nothing yet.

Only 18% ?! From what I remember of being there it was more like 100% much of the time :shake:

That would be the blackest of nights m8

I've been to Manchester a few times - 100% cover of 18% grey sounds about right

:lol::lol::lol:
