I saw my first Christmas tree for the year yesterday, and no not in the shops, in someones house fully decorated in September:facepalm: Fair enough if you like Christmas but before halloween?...no thank you. I'll continue being Scrooge till after halloween myself. It was bad enough seeing the christmas aisle in Tesco just after easter.

Rant over:rolleyes:

Similar here. Went into (a large) Tesco a couple of weeks ago and the first thing I saw as I walked through the doors was...a HUGE Christmas aisle.
I'm not just talking a tins of sweeties...I'm talkng mince pies, christmas cakes, advent calendars, chocolate santas, cards, tinsel THE LOT!!!

Someone told me yesterday that there were 'only one hundred shopping days to go until Christmas'. I could have screamed.

Oh no! That means Lidl and Aldi will be stocking their Stollen bites, and I am going to start piling on the pounds again:(

Im a fan of Christmas, but when I took my dog out for a walk a couple of nights ago and saw a Christmas tree in the reception of a local hotel, I could not F****** believe it!

Yup, the mini swollen are in stock (and in cupboard!) - the only reason for christmas IMO!

My friend put her Christmas tree up all decorated, the house decorated and had a big Christmas party a month and a bit ago, there were people who passed comment on it alluding to her sanity

Thing is she did it for her 6 year old little princess who sadly will not see another Christmas

Well in a case such as that, that's a wonderful thing to do, of course.

I like Christmas day. Having a good time with family, few pressies etc. But, I've got to admit that I get pretty annoyed and grumpy over the MASSIVE spending fest that Christmas has become.

I can understand that and I would do the same for my boys if such a thing was to happen. I'd skint myself for them for as long as they were around and make everyday for them like christmas. It's a lovely thing they're doing for her

I do like christmas, just not the thought of it before halloween lol. I have had to start early this year though because I've got a holiday in october to pay for yet and going abroad to see family over christmas as well. Not a cheap year for me.

Right, I'm just popping out for a while

Nothing to see here folks, move along please:naughty:

Yay! Can't wait for the christmas markets to start.

(Halloween, Bonfire Night and both my daughters birthdays before then!)

Just spotted the typo in my post - should be stollen, although after a couple of packs, swollen is equally correct!!!

Reminds me of an old joke about handling swollen goods...

Costco had all its Christmas decorations out last week when I was there.

However I'm quite happy with seeing those things compared to the other things I've seen in my life that I couldn't possible ever unsee :(
