What great images

they were shot where the light was right ...and spectacular . . . .

Yup, some real stunning images in that lot... I worked in Russia for a couple of years, but the part I was in looked nothing like that. Bleak, is how I would describe it - just the place to be if rusting military hardware is your thing...

It looks a lot like tuscany (??) and he's used some kind of pp filter to get that painterly effect i'm guessing?

That is a stunning collection and a testament to this wonderful craft. Seeing photos like that makes me realise I have yet to grasp even the first rung on the landscape ladder.

Stunning examples.

Gary.

Some great photos. They are definately tuscany. I followed the link of the photographer:

Amongst some really great shots you'll find a column: Toskania! This guy doesn't half know how to use a camera! There certainly are some talented people out there!

Excellent lighting, framing and composition. :D
I wonder whether he was just lucky or whether he can predict when the lighting could be like what he needs for those shots.

It looks more like a fairly heavy jpeg compression and little/no sharpening after resizing were used.

They are pretty amazing, but some are way to processed for me.

In english: http://translate.google.com/transla...rcin-sacha.html&sl=auto&tl=en&history_state0=
In what way are they processed?
They all look like they've been shot when the light was just right for them, I can't see any real traces of processing, maybe except for extra saturation (might have been just in-camera processing, though).

If you look at number 7, it looks like it has been taken from a computer animated film due to the building. Well thats my view anyway.

Some nice shots there, but i dont really like photos that have been heavily proccessed,i think it just spoils a good photo.

Not looked at the pictures yet but the sharing sections are for your own pictures so moving to talk photography.....

crazy to think the farmers cut the grass on some of those inclines!

wowweeee. made me think of charlie and the chocolate factory for some reason!! maybe cos some of these look delicious :p

Some people see the world in a totally different way, big thumbs up for cameras ;)
