Since I got a 24mp camera I found that forums and image hosting sites give me this message

" file is too large "

I tried three different free image hosting sites yesterday and all said the files were too large.

So how are you guys with 36mp cameras doing it lol ?

thanks in advance

Don't know about others, but I generally post pics at low resolution and low file size...

Most image hosting sites have limits on the file size you are allowed to upload. Set up a Lightroom (or similar) preset with the allowed export parameters and then try to upload.

Resize before upload. Generally I scale to 1200 or 1500 on the long side for posting images that others will view.

Why do you want to share such large images? A standard HD monitor can display about 2 megapixels. There's really little point trying to share images larger than that.

If you use "Easy Thumbnails" (FREE) you can use it to set the filesize, image size, or any combination thereof.

I usually set it to 85% quality after all other editing has been done.

Can also be used for batch processing.

As usual always make a copy of you files before using it just in case anything goes wrong.
