I have been looking for a while and not to sure what to buy, I havent got a load of money to spend on one but have been looking at some second hand ones on here. (edit: around about 100-150ish for a flash)

I will be using it on a wireless system (been looking at the RF602) pretty much all the time.

Now i have been looking at the Canon 480EXII but heard that this wont work properly with the transmitters and receivers..?

Also have been recommend the Nissin Di622.

Anyone have any thoughts about these flashes or recommend another one. I think it has got to the point where i have been looking around to much and need to get round to buying one.I would also like it to be able to do HSS as well. Also have a Canon 450 if that helps.

Thanks

Tyler

With wireless (at least with the cheap wireless systems) you lose all the TTL metering/HSS and have to do everything manually. My 580EXII works fine in manual mode with my 602s.

If you're on camera, that'll all work with the 430EXII.

Pretty sure the RF602 are fine (edit: as the poster above says manual only)with the Canon 430 and 580 EX flashes as a friend uses them.

The Di622 I had for Nikon didn't work with any triggers but I heard there is a firmware upgrade since but seems to be a bit sketchy on whether it works after the upgrade or not.

I have some cheap YN460 II (superceded by YN560) and these work great for what they are (only manual though no TTL) along with RF 602.

I would buy the 430ex, it has all you will need most likely. And my rf602 work with 580exII fine, so I guess there should be no problem to make 430ex work.
