Just taken the plunge and ordered a Pentax AF360FGZ flash for my K-m. Can someone please advise essential sundries with regards diffusers etc and also best option for off camera use (cord or cordless etc).
Sorry if this seems obvious but this is completely new to me.

no it doesnt need to be in the lighting forum because your talking about equipment. anyway i would go for a off camera flash cable, these can be had from ebay for around £30 and some i have seen stretch to an amazing 30M! or you could go with the radio triggers (rf 602s) but i dont think there pentax compatible. i would get a stofen diffuser which is around £5 and possibly a portable mini softbox.

Thanks Luke, will have a look on ebay, are flash cables generic or brand specific ?

brand specific. to get the right cable type in "pentx off camera flash cord" on ebay and there you will find a huge search of them. you can also get a flash diffuser off ebay for something stupid like £2.50 & free postage.

hope you find what your looking for.

Just to confirm that the RF-602s do work with Pentax cameras/flashes

Again cheers, got a 5m cord. Now just to wait for it all arriving (then over to talk lighting to ask some more dumb questions ... it's how I learn )

Don't forget that the AF360FGZ can be controlled wirelessly by the camera's pop-up flash. You won't have the range of even cheapo radio triggers, but will have more convenient control.

Another thing learned, thanks again
