I found an old Canon Sureshot II, loaded with film. Unfortunately, the film counter is at 1. The click-stop ISO rating is set at 200. Do I just shoot the film as is, or risk to pop the hood in a dark room and see what canister is loaded?

You'd only lose a few frames at most if you were intrigued? I'd just shoot, what's the worst that can happen :)

not sure with the canon sureshot ,but some of the canons pull all the film out the cassette and then it goes back in as the film is used up , if thats the case and you open the back you'd lose the whole roll ( with no images on though )

The worst? I get to the end of the roll, pop the back, and find its BonusPrint!

you never know your luck

i found these incredible...........''link''....''Found Films''

not going to get many gems on there if the film counter is on one is he ? :D

Thanks for pointing this out, completely forgot about this feature. It's actually quite a smart idea really since all the taken shots are safely inside the canister. Check first with a manual!

I think I'll put the Sureshot in my pocket when I go to Silverstone next month (along side my D90).
