What don't you like about your camera?

By the sounds of things, all Canon users on the site want a 1Dx!

And to the Nikon users, they probably want a 1DX too! :D

I was quite happy with my 1dmiIVs until I read about the 1dX and now I dont like my cameras because...they are not a 1dx :(

I've got to agree with that.

I really dislike 1DIII only has 10mp
and i really dislike how pretty much every canon I used needs sensor cleaning every 5 minutes

the 1dx looks to be a nice cam, but lets just see how it performs, iso should be better then the 5dmk2 and the af should be lightning, but nikon still has to announce the d4 and d800(which will happen) and i would still rather have 2 xd700 and grips and a 24-70mm and a 70-200mm for the same money as the 1dx.

Only thing I can fault about my D300 is the person using it :bonk:

7D - erm...um...ah, no that's wrong..em...oh **** it, I give up

G12- I hate that I lost the charger for it, and when I'm using it I wish I had my 7D, why o why did I buy it, Oh I remember I was trying to save on carrying all that weight, so now I put it in the bag beside my 7D :bang:

There's nothing I don't like about my 7D and I'm not sure why I'm responding to such a stupid thread, especially one that included the following "..., i wish Canon had introduced a more introducing screen system thing". I mean what the ****** does that mean?!

Maybe a bit smaller still? Otherwise really happy with my K-5 other than the fact that it seems to be eating batteries much faster than a D7k or even my D40?

Would like to be able to set a max value for auto iso on my 7D as you can on the 550D and 60D

It means, every screen looks the same. I played with a Nikon D60 a few nights ago and it had a fun aperture animation on the screen to show you what you were shooting on. It was nice because it was different. On my 500D, everything has it's own little box, the ISO is on the top right, the aperture in the top middle and the shutter speed on the top left. The mode you are on is on the left etc.

I would wish for something a little more nice to look at, a little more introducing. and before you say it, changing the colour of the screen from white to black, green or brown doesn't count.

;)

Have you put the latest firmware on it? I'm pretty sure the 5dMk2 came with 60fps 720p on it!
Nope. 5D2 is full HD or 640x480...

I stand corrected!? Why on earth would they put it on the 550D/600D and not on the 5D2? Makes absolutely no sense!

I'm sure it'll be on the 5D3 ;)

on the EOS 7D, the mode dial can be easily knocked, changing the mode. When it's on Tv mode, the shutter speed can be easily knocked

On the 70-200 f2.8 IS, it should be a push pull zoom rather than a rotary zoom and it's too easy to knock the AF switch and put it in MF

Probably put a better screen (920k) on the back of the M9. Don't really need super high ISO or live view which is what a lot crave. With the NEX-5 smaller lenses would be ideal.

On my 40D I'd happily exchange all the auto or scene modes for more custom modes.
A little M-fn button like on the 7D and a dedicated live view button would be nice as well.

On my lenses, the 150mm macro could do with a dampened focus ring, I don't know why the majority of companies don't bother with putting a really nice focussing ring on macro lenses, none I've had my hands on yet feel as nice as the aged pentax 50mm f/1.7 I have that can be bought extremely cheap. All either too loose or too tight for really tiny adustments. I can appreciate that most lenses aren't designed with manual focus in mind any more, but macro's should be an exception to that.

My D700 & D300 nothing much, i like using both of them.

Just D700 C/F card lock & 100% viewfinder.

:)

Olympus OM1:

No digital sensor - analogue only.
No LCD screen.
No autofocus. An absolute nightmare twisting that lens to get a sharp picture.
Not enough buttons.
Unable to put it on charge. In fact I still haven't even found the charger.
CF card slot cover difficult to open.

I'm looking at getting the OM2

You can send it off to have the mode wheel modified so it has a push to release button on top. i had it done whe i twas away getting sorted and its far better.

For me i wish more camera's had in body stabilisation and that the grips werent so massive and made them the same size as the 1 series.

Thats great, but don't think OM2 would improve much

Oh how I wish! Its so annoying as I love the feel of the 1 series and it fits so nicely in the hand.
A grip is better than not having one, but I would rather it felt like a 1 series body when attached

I love my 40D but find the focussing to be a bit unreliable at times, and as someone else has said about the 7D, the mode wheel can easily be moved accidentally.

1D3
Would prefer a few more megapixels.

D40 - not as small as a GF2, needs better high ISO
GF2 - doesn't handle as well as a D40, needs better high ISO
D90 - isn't a D7000, needs better high ISO
K1000 - I have to do everything, takes film
F80 - makes me feel uninvolved, takes film

;)
