Yes
I've been asked to photograph for a friend's company, 600 different designs of chair decorations. It would be one of each, and there would be someone setting them up and putting them in to place. How much do you think I should charge? I'm not a pro by any means but showed them a couple of test shots I've done for them, and all I will do is put them on to disc. Any help would be great.

That would depend on how much you value your time while shooting 600 chairs and also on how much they are likely to make from the photos as advertising. I would normally go by the hour with a shoot like that and then negotiate an ongoing commission for the length of time they use the photos.

I'm not to worried about making a continued amount. So it will be just a one off price.

It's not a price someone else can particularly work out for you, but there is a section on this forum that'll help you out with it.

See here

Ok, we I'm still unsure what to charge them. Cheers though for link.

If it was a friend who I liked that wanted it done cheap, and it wasn't me who had to change all the covers, then I'd do it for a couple of hundred quid or so as a favour. I'd have charged a lot more than that for a genuine client, as that kind of job ties your studio up for quite a while. Don't under estimate how long this will take though. £200 is giving it away as a favour.. so make sure he knows that. And that's just for the images... no retouching.

As he knows you're not experienced, I doubt he'd pay more. I would start by going in higher though... see what he says.

He'll probably not want to pay even that. People want stuff for free these days... after all.. it's just taking pics 'innit :)
