Also not sure I like the idea of the internal memory and only 1Gb of card space bought extra..:|

Certainly a let down with this model IMO.:thumbsdown:

Would your budget raise a little and try the Canon Ixus range, Great camera, very good reviews..:)

Have a look here. £170 gets you a far better spec camera Sue.:thumbs:
 
Hmmmm 170 is a bit more than I was wanting to spend but I will have to see what we have left the end of the month, see if it will go a bit further
 
The Fuji F30 image quality is miles ahead of any IXUS Camera. It's also a compact high ISO class leader, by a long way :)

xD memory cards are now available in 2GB sizes.
 
I must admit to liking the Fuji compacts Sue.
 
OK then, so after some more looking around I still arent sure what to get. Like the look of quite a few, mainly those mentioned about by everyone.

Any more help guys?

I've used every other ixus ever made and am currently using the 850IS. My next p&s camera will probably be an ixus. My reasons are silly.

I can't believe they still have them in stock at amazon. They must have bought loads. Amazing camera, unbelievable price. I rememebr buying 256mb memory cards for the same price not so many years ago.
 
I bought a canon compact in Canada a few years ago because it took CF cards and because I have dozens of CF cards it meant I never had to shell out for new media.

I have looked at the casio Z10 zoom and that looks good...Ian
