What do you think to my new web site?

Takes way to much time to load, in fact I waited almost 1 min and still nothing had loaded so gave up

And I have a big fat old pipe feeding my beast as well

It's a flash based site, so that's a no no for me, I don't view flash sites.

Loading wasn't too much as an issue for me (occassionally one or two images took a while to appear). I'm not sure what the connection speed is here but I don't think it's megga fast.

I like the simplicity of the design - for me it more or less works.

I did get a bit confused when I clicked on Portraits (or was it People) - it took me a while to realise I was on that page and the navigation was to the right. Not a great problem.

I have to say I hate Flash scroll bars (pricing page). Any way you can get rid of them?

It is personal taste but I am no fan of flash either. Putting that aside there are some cracking images on there!

Have you thought about buying a domain name, the URL you have at the moment is not the friendliest I am afraid.

+1

I also found the site a bit slow despite my broadband at home being pretty quick.

#Our home page — or any page — takes more than four seconds to load.

#Our site is Flash-based

Also, found the 'home' text on the first screen confusing. I thought the first screen was a splash screen, so expected the 'home' text to be a link to the homepage.

To be honest I would have given up on the site in real life as the the flash slideshow took so long to load - I have 8MB broadband connection.

Also scroll bars are too narrow and contrast between text and background too low.

Nice clean design apart from the above though, just needs a few tweaks.

On the contacts page, when it first loads I only get the first two lines of your address, I then have to scroll down to get more. Now this maybe a personal thing, but I do all my page scrolling with my mouse wheel, and this did not work on your site so I had to use the little scroll bar. Same thing for the pricing page.

Another point on the contacts page, because your using flash I can not copy and paste your email address, and I'll be buggered if I'm going to type it in to my email client. You should have a mailto: link.

plus one on the contacts thing - also why not give a landline, as you are giving an address

also what the heck is the national express old putney comp , i'm into photography and it means nothing to me - so i wouldnt expect joe public to know what it is

also you use passion two pararagraphs running - and what is the point in saying that your 'passion lies in all areas of photography' that doesnt really tell the client anything. if you basically do people and portraiture it would be better to say that thats your passion (though using passion is a cliche anyway)

and i'd drop the personal work gallery - if i want to hire you to photograph tarquin and jemima I'm not interested in seeing pictures of pigeons or road markings.

I agree with these points.

However I didn't find it took too long to load. Style wise it looks good, but the user experience is lacking.
