Its not quite finished still need some work and some new images which im working on-but what do you think of the colour scheme and general stuff.

Thanks

Hello, here are my thoughts:

Likes

- Simple navigation and easy to find my way around

- Good amount of content and not too over heavy on the text:image ratio

- Images are very nice

Improvements

- The colour scheme is a bit late 90's web design

- The buttons you use to navigate don't fit with the site layout, you need to produce something which blends in and is almost invisible yet people know where exactly to go to move around your site

- The banner at the top needs some significant improvements

Just my thoughts, great first draft I would summarise with :)

the first thing that hit me was the horrible font of the text - and the fact you have 3 diffferent fonts on the first page. just use the arial-esque one that has 'portrait studios slough'.

colourscheme could be better too, didn't get any further through the site.

Generally I rate the BBC website as quite good, have a look there for busy but clean pages.

Yeah trouble is im limited as its with a sever i sell pics through the image file.

I have taken your thoughts on board-i had a brighter bammer but thought it looked to ott and was in red background maybe ill try it again.

I like the site. Quick to load, easy to navigate and shows off your pictures well.

I was going to say I'm not massively keen on the banner but checked again and you've updated it - much better.

The background colour doesn't quite sit right with me - perhaps its lacking a punch like the banner.

Cheers
Phil

Banner is much better. How about softening the edges though? Personally I like banners to blend in... :)

Just checked again - massive improvement - looking good:clap:

Spelling and grammar are, no offense, appalling.
I would be happy to proof read the website for you free of charge, just send me a PM and I'll do it in a free hour or so.

No offence-but I know and have to proof it. I am an excellent speller-just a crap typist lol. but thanks.

I think ive come up with a nice neutral look now

Be aware that professional is spelt incorrectly twice on the Weddings page. Bit of a sin on a Professional Photographer's website

Definitely looking better now...

aye, big improvement on the first time i saw it. keep going!

what's an extra high res image?

Extra high resolution images will be charged at £15 each.

This doesn't really belong as visible text on a page surely?:

Portrait studios slough,windsor,langley,burnham,maidenhead,high wycombe,ascot,gerrards cross,iver,bourne end,marlow. Wedding photography,slough,windsor,langley,burnham,maidenhead,high wycombe,ascot,gerrards cross,iver,bourne end,marlow.School photographer,schools photography,schools photographer.

And if you start nicking my clients i'll be round to show you places my tripod reaches you never thought possible! lol. Just kidding. Sounds like you're quite local to me, feel free to Pm me if you fancy a meet up one day!

Make it invisible and Google might just consider it keyword spamming and penalise the site in rankings.

If you're looking to improve rankings then there are better and more legitimate ways to do so. Focus on the user, forget about the search engine spiders, publish high quality content that distinguishes your website as an authority in its industry, make it so that people will naturally want to link to your website.
