Steve - you do look a bit like Phil Tufnell (I presume that is who Marik means?)

Is that NAIM audio kit?

Phil who..?

As for Naim kit - well, yes and no - it was Naim, but has been modified by Avondale audio, and is now way better....
As for them large cd's = the other end of the room has the main collection of both little and large cd's...

All I got when I looked through the photos was a lot of glare from your glasses..that photo doesn't do you any justice

Dunno if this will work, but here is a long and eagerly awaited
picture of me and my other passion - music..

I have also put a couple of pictures in my gallery, if anyone feels like taking a peek..

sorry for being rude dude, but you can be banned for having Auralex foam on your walls. IF your going to do that, you need to move your speaker over so that the foam is behind the speaker, this will remove early reflections from it...

/geek off

Matty - The room is solid concrete - all walls, floor and ceiling, so needs the auralex big time !
It is not behind the speaker in that shot, but the speakers (SBL's, which are currently out of use) have no rear port, so need a solid wall, and nothing else behind them ) I am now using some Revalation S1 speakers (also an off -shoot of avondale) in their place, but further into the room - more bass-heavy than SBL's, but otherwise better than them....
In that picture, the rest of the system is Naim CDX, XPS, 52, Supercap, 250 and James Audio Mains Conditioner. Turntable is Michel Gyrodec, now replaced with an Orbe, with an
SME 1V arm and tom Evans Groove phono supply.

Geek off also....

Yeah looks nothing like your avitar :D

bah...auralex....bah, bet that little lot + foam cost a few quid did it?

Here's an up to date photo of me and an aligator (I'm the one without the tail ) taken a couple of weeks ago in the Everglades in Florida

The saddest bit is that Matty recognised that it was Auralex, not some chep substitute...
Well, yes it wasn't cheap, but here is the story...
We sold our house in Walthamstow (the cheap side of London town), and the day the money came through, my cd player died.
So, off I trotted to a stereo shop to spend up to £500 on a new cd player - a once-in-a-lifetime thing..........
An hours later, I left Grahams Hi Fi shop with £15,000 worth of stereo under my arm. I then had to explain to Kate why we had so little of the money from the house sale left, as the mortgage had been repaid, and my £15,000 has 'disappeared'.........
I am still unsure if I was believed, but it sounds very good, and gives me so much pleasure - the hours spent listening to music late at night are worth every penny...
Since then, most bits have been replaced with better bits, and I am enjoying making some Frenchie a little green here....
So, Matty - tell me about yours.... (I am no equipment freak, but love music, and the pleasure it gives - over to you...)

Did someone mention meat filled pastry products?

Or veg. I'm very partial to a Greggs Veg Pastie. I keep trying to find the recipe online but I can't :(

Anyway Elaine...Pasty? you look perfectly normal to me
