Yes
Personally I may take loads of pics each time i'm out and about, but i delete the crap ones straight away, save the rest onto memory stick and only upload my very best shots (which may be rubbish by someone elses standards) onto Flickr.

As for photos i post on TP, they really are my very best attempts and i really do want C&C on them as what may seem good to my untrained eye, may need a LOT of improvement !!

So .................. what about you ?

Stick em on Flickr and here and my little website. So far I haven't printed anything... though I would love to produce enough (of okish quality) this year to do a little photobook.

I have been selling a few of my best landscapes around the local area
But last week my wife said do you not think it is time you got a few up
on the wall so of I went to the local framer and got 6 A4s and 6 A3s framed
and up on the wall
So my advice to you would be to get a few framed and put up on the wall as
they look a hell of a lot better printed and framed than they do on a computer screen

The obviously sub-par photos are deleted at the point of having taken the photo. Anything which may be interesting upon being blown up goes onto my computer at which point a second cull is undertaken. Then the photos sit in Lightroom for displaying to anyone who shows any interest in my hobby and only the absolute bare minimum make it onto Flickr owing to my laziness with regard to updating my account.

Most of my photos are for my memories more than anything else.

Put them in sleeves & tape them to the window.

And don't tell nobody....shhhh :)

Same as above really. I cull the obvious bad ones. But i do keep alot of the not so good ones, as they help you learn in the future.

I'll then try and pick a few to process. After processing i will then try and get down to 3-4 photo's for posting on to here and flickr. I only pick 3 or 4 as i find this helps to push me to produce better photo's in the first place.

I am now in a position to make my flats hallway a gallery for my work. I have bought frames and am ready to produce some work. I just have to decide on a theme and get out there shooting!

Take loads, delete loads.

Any that are good go onto Flickr, and some come on here for C&C.

I've been known to print out a few for friends and famiy.

Process film, print any which I like, store negatives in an envelope in a box.

Steve.

Take the photos, up onto the server, delete the real trash, process any I like, up onto flickr (privately) any ones I'm really proud of on here, then the good ones onto my site.

From there if there are any I like print off at 9x6 or if I'm feeling really proud 12x8 or 10x15

I sell some of my photos at a local restaurant and display them in frames and mounts, I put some photos onto my website, my website is like my online portfolio, I print out my favourite photos onto A4 or A3 paper :)

The real, unuseable, unrecoverable dross gets binned from the camera. What's left gets saved and archived then copies of the folder get whittled down to the few keepers. They'll get printed at 6x4 to get a better idea as to how they look then any that I think are worth it get printed to A4. Every once in a while, some get printed to A3 and one or two even get framed and hung on the wall.

For fun/landscape:

- Come home, back up the card to external HDD, take a look at the images and process the ones I wish to keep/upload to Flickr

For events/work:

- Come home, back up CF cards, process all images in photo mechanic and give all IPTC information, upload to the gallery display system, pick one or two for Flickr

I have two folders on an otherwise empty hard drive. RAW and JPEG.
As I only shoot in RAW these days, I'll load them all into the RAW folder first (there's many different sub folders inside. IE landscapes, people, aircraft, macro's, animals, insects etc.....)
Anything that ISN'T in a folder needs converting to JPEG. And once they have been converted, they either get put into a folder, or deleted. I only keep the ones that are really good (to me!) General 'snapshots' I just delete.

In my JPEG folder, there's again lot's of sub folders.
This is where the JPEG's get saved.

It's not perfect, a bit arse about face, but it works!

All the one's that are obviously rubbish on the camera LCD get deleted pretty much as I've taken them.
The RAW folder(s) get tidied up when I'm 100% certain the RAW file will not get used again. At the moment, they are pretty tidy!

1 Take loads of photos
2 download from memory card onto pc in lightroom
3 first pass - delete the real dross
4 second pass give rating 1 - 5 *'s
5 filter out 1-4 * and see if any of the 5* 's need any PP
6 work down through 4* 3* 2* 1* if there's time
7 pick one of them as my Photo-A-Day on flickr
8 Pick one a week of them for a Photo52
9 Pick one a month of them for next year's Photo Calendar
10 Print at least one a month at 10x8", fram it up and bang it on the wall
11 If I've run out of wall - take one i've grown bored of, and replace it in stage 10
and stick the de-framed photo into an archive album
12 the rest may end up being rolled into slideshow dvd's as/when I get bored or if
friends/family express an interest in them.

I take photographs because I like to have the prints to hand - not so that I have loads of images on the computer screen.

bah!

I wish i had the time, energy and un-lazyness to do all that!

ive got 2/3000 pics downloaded from my 40D still sitting in that canon-provided software!

Havent deleted any or anything!

one day.....

my film negs I store in dark, dry place in neg holders. I take em out now and again to look at, and sometimes I go and get something printed if I really like it!
