You forgot Second Breakfast and High Tea! Slacker!!

I'd agree with the evening meal though. I only tend to think of it as dinner if it's formal.

Generically though, it's scoff or scran.

:bang: scran i hate that one even more it's worse than diggers!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Generically = Snack, Snap, or Packup

Breakfast, lunch and then evening meal is tea or dinner depending on the time and what I'm having... Mostly dinner.

breaky dinner tea, always has been always will be, but then I am from up north (origionaly)

spike

Breakfast, lunch, supper.

I tend to associate "dinner" as being a bit more of an "occasion" than supper such as when you eat out instead of at home.

"Tea" is what I think of at about 4pm and best served with scones, jam & clotted cream

High tea! Get you!

Breakfast dinner dinner (this was when I was younger and at school, dinner school was midday also known as 'dinnertime' and you got....dinner), the when I got home my ma would ask "what do you want for dinner?"

Now its breakfast, lunch, dinner/tea/supper.

If I'm with other locals, then it's:

Breakfast, dinner and tea.

If I'm feeling posh or speaking with anyone not local it's:

Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Though I hasten to add, dinner time is at lunch, and tea time is at dinner time.

well i just beat hubby as he said my bratts would agree with him and nope they agree with me... with one adding tea about 4ish ...

Pretty much the same for me too. A mid-morning snack is a 'half-ten' and I may have some around 4:00pm to 'put me on', a phrase that used to annoy my ex

depends on the target audience and when discussing.....

As in "Will ring the OH and say what do you want for tea?" - but we always call it Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner - when talking to others... (mm must be a secret "snob")

supper when I was growing up was always used to describe the meal you had after the main evening meal and not long before bed.

So for me it is breakfast, elevenses (almost always at work), lunch, afternoon snack (if hungry), tea (my word for dinner), then a snack/supper before bed if hungry
