What do others think about this as an Idea?

As a retired person with a keen interest in amateur photography I get very frustrated when trying to photograph wildlife in captivity at Zoo's, Wildlife Parks etc.

My gripes are mesh, wire and glass/perspex but interestingly some establishments seem to do a much better job for photographers than others.

Would it be possible for the Forum’s Admin Dept. to create a "Photographer Friendly Ratings Page" where we can enter an establishment name and rate it accordingly with others being able to add their own rating so that we end up with an average?

Eg.

Surrey, Lingfield (British Wildlife Centre) – 90.00%
Kent, Herne (Wildwood) – 50.00%
Dorset, Abbotsbury (Abbotsbury Swannery) – 90.00%
London, Barnes (Wetland Wildlife Trust) – 90.00%
Sussex, Arundel (Wetland Wildlife Trust) – 90.00%

This is in the wrong place as this forum is for Photos

no it isnt - this forum board is for speciality discussion on wildlife toggery - the boards for photos are down in the photosharing and critique section (however the op's request might be best in the forum discussions forum board at the foot of the main page)

A forum has boards, in the boards are threads and in each thread there are posts.......simples, that way people know what your on about.

I have only done one shoot like this and I simply went to a safari park and stayed away from the zoo... sorry just seems a bit simple of an answer to me :) safari park out in open.. zoo behind mesh and glass...

Nice idea - like that.

Some enclosure's are photography friendly - would be nice to know which.

Flamingoland is very photography friendly, went there for a week earlier this year as its a theme park and caravan site so had full access to the zoo before the public where allowed in.
