Yes
We've got a small deer living in our companies grounds. It's a small built up 6.5 acre site and this deer wanders along the back fence/hedge every day about the same time, about 10m from the windows.

I was wondering what's best to put down to encourage him/it to stop for photo's?

Sheep nuts....no not goolies...........the pellets that farmers give sheep over winter or treacle blocks, they like them.Available from any decent farmer if you bung him some brass........

Some former colleagues in the U.S. use apples.

The bark of our young trees, killing them in the process...

Seriously, pony or sheep nuts, or most vegetation

we have some red deer near us and they love brown bread as a special treat!

Spotted one on the A303 this morning licking some road kill, might be worth a bash?

Dont feed it much...

If it starts to rely on what you put down you'll only do it harm.

Cheers

I was thinking of just a handful on it's regular route, see if I can get it to stop briefly.

They used to eat all my roses and prune all the new shoots off my fruit trees.

They are browsers, they do eat grass but they seem to like the shoots from brambles (hence the roses) and young trees.

my granddad used to farm deer and we'd give them either apples or raw potatoes as treats at various times of year. They seemed to like them (or at least they'd quite happily follow you round the field eating them!)

deer food - no? ;)

Here's one I took today outside our office.
