What Did You Have For Dinner Today?

Nothing, got a colonoscopy tomorrow, currently getting rid of last night's dinner :)
Sorry

Hope the Fleet or equivalent wasn't too unpleasant and that the procedure goes/went as planned, not finding anything sinister.

Bacon sarnie for lunch (brown bread, no butter or sauce) and have created a delicious tomato and onion sauce for spaghetti to be ready when Mrs Nod gets home at about 21:15. If there's any left - I keep needing to taste it!

Chicken soup with chicken!

Again :)

It takes a bit of getting used to the children being off at university...

Amazing the effort some put in for lunch. I would much rather a quick simple butty, and a cup of tea.

Fish and chips (homemade) never tasted so good. :)

Hurts like Hell, it gets easier, chin up.

It's not so bad :)
The worst bit is eating the same thing for three days, not the kids being away!

Eldest is in his fourth year at Aberdeen, youngest is in third year and currently in Wyoming on a student exchange.

Tomorrow will be savoury pancake day...

But the best bit is when you realise you can eat exactly what YOU want to eat and when
( I assume you can cook?)

Never been keen on Chips and egg, but the missus loves it. Says me while munching my Cheese butties, and a cup of strong tea :)

Don't have it very often but really enjoy it when we do. The chips are actually home made potato wedges done in the oven. Using proper fresh eggs from a farm helps as well.

I can cook almost anything :) Who cooks depends who gets in first from work.

Both kids are pretty good too.

That's what the missus says, talking about food of course  :$ not keen on it, but when I do it missus really enjoys it. ( talking about food again ;) )

Homemade Chicken, leek and potato soup....currently bubbling.
Homemade bread.....currently proving.

Thats sorted then, no more 3 day left overs (y)
Unless you are like my lad who delights in ordering Chinese for 4 and eats it for the rest of the week
(He can cook too so god knows why  )

Yep and very nice that is too, made that myself a few times. Trouble is, it has deadly side effects a short while later :runaway:

Then you're making it wrong, my friend.
There'll be no "side effects" here. :-)

Steak and chips. Delicious pepper and mustard sauce on the side. Even managed to resist the sweet menu's blandishments afterwards - most unusual!

Think it could be the Leeks, but me and the missus start blowing off, soon afterwards. Oh and they are deadly ones :p

Home made savoury pancakes, stuffed with a tomato, onion, mushroom, chorizo, cream cheese and cream sauce.

Saturday is bacon sandwich day.

*sings the bacon sandwich song*

Saturday is bacon sandwich day.
Just tucking into a toasted one now, (Daddies) brown sauce, and a fried egg to complete the sarnie

6 thick unsmoked rashers, 2 eggs, a few blobs of HP brown and 4 thick slices of fresh white bread later...

*burp*

Nah, Heinz TK on one side and mayo on the other.

Today's lunch was Squid Phad Bai Krapaow on it's mildest setting. Absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Will go up the chilli scale next time and maybe try the Prawn option.
