im looking for a new compact camera for my girlfriend
at the moment she has a lumix tz3. and its a great camera
i wanted to stick with panasonic. was looking at the tz20, mostly for the full hd video. but it seems to be getting a lot of bad reviews.
as anyone used this model or can you recommend another compact that is similar in size and does full hd
 
I have got Sony TX10. Perfect small waterproof camera. Last weekend I have enjoyed playing with it during our fun games on the beach or under water. Video quality is perfect. Downside of this camera is only battery life a somethimes funny jpeg compresion of the green parts of the picture. (grass)

this looks like a neat model
 
If I had the money and needed a compact camera, I think I'd buy the Sony HX9. My friend has the HX5 which is a fantastic camera but I think I'd want the extra reach from the 9. If you're interested in the HD video, have a look at a BBC news report done with the HX9.

looks good. only 720 but looked good on that vid link
but noticed that its 16mp. isnt that a lot it for a small sensor
