What car should I get?

I see the choice has been made already, however..

For anyone considering an RX, do some serious research. They have a history of coil pack failures, which lead to the cat failing too. Also rotor tip wear is an issue and at not rocketship mileage either.

Poot hot starting is normally a sign. Plus things like clutch replacements are pretty expensive. MPG isn't great.

Shame, I like them!

Many more problems than that....

A lot of RX8 owners tend to know nothing about how to treat a wankel and end up flooding them, not to mention 90% of the underside of an RX8 will be pure rust now (I know my friend completely re-built an RX and the Rust was totally unbelievable

Great choice on the Focus ST, the sound from the 5 Cylinder will certainly do your Wallet some Damage!
 
Focus ST is a great choice! We have a Mk V Golf GTi with a DSG box which I really rate. Been totally reliable and good build quality. We bought second hand a couple of years ago and don't do many miles in it, intend to run for quite a few years.
