What car do you drive?

1990 Eunos Roadster

Best drive I've had :D

(gets ready for the hairdresser comments.....)

Nope - had a mk1 for 9 years as the wifes fun car - brilliant little thing, hardly had to do a thing to it. Sold it this year for a new mx-5 with fancy electric hardtop roof.

Ordered mine in august, due in march :)

Happy with yours?

you must have a pretty good spec to have to wait that long.
very pleased with mine done 33k miles. only niggles are a blocked engine breather pipe and washer bottle pipe chafed through on inside of front bumper. all sorted under warranty.
Nice relaxing drive and better than the BMWs and Audis I had previously, However not as much fun as My Seat Leon FR that I still miss but my driving licence is a lot safer now...

70 years old with one of these, Pulling up at the lights at the side of a 17 year old and seeing their face priceless

PMSL. Good man, and you've made me feel better about my silly cars. I had that model CTR in red before I got the TT.

Oh well, years of fun in rally cars is firmly in my past and these days all I seek is practicality to lug around family, dogs, logs, rifles and other stuff - though not all at once.

I've been running a Skoda Octavia estate now for longer than I've run any car before, partly because the work situation is somewhat tenuous and partly because it turns at least 56 miles out of every gallon no matter how I drive it and it costs diddley piddley to run.
Thoughts of replacement with the same again, a Discovery or a Porsche are simply pipe dreams until the work thing becomes a bit clearer.

do you reckon a 70 year old could pull a 17 year old with one of these then !!!
Or have I misunderstood again.....
If not I am off down the dealers now...
latest trick I have found that amuses me is to pull up on the inside lane next to a "17" year old at the lights, pull faces at them rev the car a few times and watch them disappear ahead in a cloud of tyre smoke.... as you turn left.

Hope you had a good Christmas Eric

I meant I disappear in a puff of smoke :) Had a great christmas hope you did as well.

And mine looks like this ...

Tip, next time you want to make your car look like It's come out of a massive forest reverse it another ten feet then drive it forward ;)

You should try driving this in the snow

No heating no ABS and breaks that take hundreds of yards to stop on the ice.
However they tend to be rear wheel drive:thumbs:

The family fleet is a 2009 Vauxhall Insignia. Cavernous boot but b****r all use in this recent weather. The ABS and TC systems froze twice and I could not get the dratted thing off the drive.
A 2006 Mini 7 Limited Edition which is fab to drive locally but I really don't like it on a long trip.
A 2003 Land Rover Freelander which is actually a smashing little truck and has poddled around like a trooper (not the Isuzu!) this last few weeks. Not the most refined car I've ever driven but just gets the job done.
And last but not least, what I turned to when the Insignia would not move it's not inconsiderable backside?

me Bongo!

4wd version then? Looks like you've got the kitchen and the auto free top, so just the job really.

I'd swap my VW for one, if they weren't so expensive.

I drive around in a Vectra 3.2V6 Elite estate. Brilliant for a long days drive. Eats up the motor ways as much as it does fuel. I too have fun at a set of lights if the need is there.:)

Mine's on the far left. 07 Swift Sport. My chav-mobile... I love it, it's great fun to drive. Whilst not highly powered, it handles like a go kart and will cock a rear wheel with ease. The amount of grip is brilliant.

Bad things? Not a comfy car for motorways. It's noisy harsh and desperately needs a 6th gear. Fuel consumption isn't up to much, 32mpg for a 1600cc. I think that's more connected to my right foot though.

Oh, and build quality... lol

I drive a 180bhp throttle bodied Fiesta Zetec S, engine and most of the car built by myself with some help.

Good fun, although now getting a little impractical for the road. :(

Changed mine over the summer from a beat up old Volvo 850 (bought as a last resort after I killed my shiny Fiat Stilo in a flood). I now drive a '51 plater Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.0l. Brilliant car, 4wd (low and high) came in very useful during the snow.

What engine did you start with mate?? I helped a friend of mine do a 1.7 puma lump conversion into his fiesta...

It's still a 1.6 Zetec SE. Hoping to push 200bhp next year.

1.7 puma's are a common and easy conversion.

wicked! cant see why it wouldnt be possible!

my mate wants to go down either the Racing Puma cams and ECU route, or the Omex and Throttle Bodies etc...

Here is his little project!

Just needs some more compression and different profile cams.

Get him to talk to ShawSpeed. Very helpful bloke that knows his stuff.

I'm sure I've seen that car before, looks very smart!

you may have done... he is on various Fiesta forums, and went to Fiesta in the Park a few times...

Will do, i'm sure he will be interested!

More than likely then. Been to FiTP for the last 3 years so might have been there.

10 year old Ford Puma.

An absolute treat to drive, economical to run and bullet proof reliability.

Clicky

these still get me a little over excited i sold my evo2 about 6 years ago and still miss it 2 impreza's still haven't cured the itch :(

I know what you mean. I had an EVO 5 before this one....definitely looks better than the 9 but at least it's a bit more modern !

Is it similar to the FR?? They are lovely cars ;)

the diesel FR is 150bhp if i remember rightly, mines a 130. still has 230 torque bunnies and easily remapped :D

does me for now, would like a remap and FMIC but need to get the crappy "uprated" suspension one of the previous owner installed off it asap.

My old weekend jalopy;

Although the hole this left in my life will soon be filled with another

Seriously underrated car, really comfy, easy to drive, looks pretty good, bargain price. Only downside is the poor economy, the engine is too small for the weight of the car :|

My mates just bought an e30 318is... i love it!
That looks like a tidy example mate!

That's a very tidy E30...I have a scratch that needs to be itched in the form of an E30 M3. They're getting expensive now though.
