not bad ,not bad at all ,its an improvement thats for sure.

Keep em coming.

its weird there is something wrong with the shot, i framed the fence to be parallel to the bottom of frame but the castle still looks like its leaning to the left

Nice one guys, the more i see it the more the wonkyness of the building seems apparent, it could just be that the gate was fitted wrongly.

My family are a family of architects and iv never been on a building site that wasn't level and i know we've had that technology for a very long time so i cant imagine the building being wrong. Someone suggested subsidence but on that scale im not so sure, and if it was they would have a serious problem with cracks all over the building, and this being Drumlanrig castle its a grade A listed building which means they take care of it.

Ok im rambling :cuckoo: btw Walter yous is my fav so far ,very nice

EDIT: just noticed Rob straightened it :)

Ah thats it for your shot then. There isn't a soul in this place that believes that life is just a little wonky at times.

Loading it up in PS and applying some horizontal guides, the building is wonky (right side higher than the left) but so is the gate. The building is more out of whack, but I suspect that as it is further away the slight misplacement of the camera is amplified.

Ah i see, i shot it hand held ,never put a grid over it though. If my framing was off that explains a bit of it.

Here's my effort. Just a little tinker in Lightroom.
The railings are very distracting so I cropped them out too!

The building is not symmetrical, chimney on the left missing as well as one pot left as opposed to two pots on each chimney on right and the two large towers either side of the clock tower are also out of sync.
Quite an engaging photograph when studied, I keep looking for more building faults!

You're right there is way more there than meets the eye, since yo said that iv seen quite a few odd things wrong with the building.
