Hello everyone:wave:

Just wondering if anyone can recommend me a product to use to clean LCD screens?

I need to clean my monitor, TV and laptop screens as they are getting abit dusty.

Im not sure if you can get smooth finish TV screens but all 3 of my screens are not like the smooth finish Laptop screens. it's more dull finish type (satin black)

I dont know what I can use to clean them besides LCD cleaning wipes from currys but I have been told to stay away from them ??!?!?!!

Any ideas?
Thanks

Haha nice link JumboBeef :D

I've always used a spectacle cleaning cloth on mine..seems to do the job?

On recommendation, I have always used a soft lint free cloth dampened very slightly with warm soapy water and have never had a problem.
Please note that I have emphasised the words "very slightly"
;)

LOL yeah thats gunna wreck my TV thou lol

Umm might have to use about 7 spectacle cleaning cloths as I have to clean my 37" TV, 19" mon and 15" laptop screens. The dust is gathering up and I think it might dust up the cloth pretty quick.

seriously ***. Any thing I can buy from the high streets to clean the screens without damaging them?

Why would it wreck your TV (I assume you are talking about the damp cloth, if not I'll wind my neck in).

I don't mean have it dripping with water, just barely damp.
I've been doing it ever since I purchased my first LCD about 4 years ago and never had a problem

damp cloth , used it on CRT/TFT for years :) *

just never use anything even slightly abrasive.

* only because they'd never fit in the dishwasher :(

I've always used Mr Muscle window/glass cleaner and a bit of kitchen roll. Cleans them up nicely and I've never had any problems with scratching, etc.

Likewise. I noticed that PC World were selling a tiny wee bottle of LCD cleaner for about £6, closer inspection suggested it was meths....
