What Camera?

Oh right. Thanks again mate use have all been a big help I've probably learnt more on here than if I went on a course! Lol. I found a few of them 70-300mm lenses on eBay brand new for like £280 so think I'll probably buy it off there that other site looked abit dodgy.

Where it says on it non rotating front element does that mean you can't turn it so it zooms more etc or am I just being stupid lol

No what it means that as you zoom or focus, the front of the lens does not rotate. You twist either the zoom or focus rings and the front of the lens moves backwards and forwards but does not rotate. As mentioned, this makes it better for petal type lens hoods and also much better for using filters such as graduated neutral density where you get a light half and a dark half of the filter. If the lens rotated as you zoomed, you would need to keep resetting your filter each time.
Its a good lens that should serve you well (70-300 VR) but get it from a reputable dealer or if you have classified access yet, get a used one from this forum

That seems a VERY good price for one of those lenses - thats normally what they go for used so it may be worth checking the company out to make sure everything is ok.
I've not heard of them before so might just be worth a little digging around to see what feedback they have.

Hmmm - your choice but check this out :- http://www.scamadviser.com/is-loesza.com-a-fake-site.html

A quick search shows that is a scam site. They proclaim to be:

Loesza Cameras is a trading name of Silver Centre (UK) Ltd.

Silver Centre UK ltd was used as a front by YorkshireCamera.com (another scam site).

They also claim to be Lancashire based, but looking at their "Contact us" the address is a residential apartment block in London.

It's worth waiting until you can access the classifieds! ;)

Yeah I can't access them yet mate but I've been joint on here since September now so not sure when I will be able too

How many posts do you have? There is a minimum amount needed to access them.

Tizer sold a minter 70-300 for £230 a few week ago.

Not that many mate is that why then? That's a shame mate I'll have to just keep an eye out and hopefully one comes up

Oh I went on the classifieds today and can now see them etc so hopefully one will come up soon

Yhe often pop up so get posting!! Share some shots too! :)

After looking through your pictures on Flickr mate I'm not sure I want to haha

The 70-300 VR being talked here is an excellent lens for motorsport and well worth the money. A lot of my rally pictures on my flickr link were taken using that lens. It does come at a price of course, but why not look at second hand ones from the used dealers. MPB would be a good starting point, they have a few.

All that said, the 55-300 isn't a bad lens either but motorsport can put a lens through its paces and the 70-300 does focus considerably faster and is generally better optically as well. Lenses generally hold their value well which can soften the blow of spending a little extra, especially if you buy used.

Without wishing to confuse you too much, you could also look at the Tamron 70-300 but make sure it is the VC version as it is far far better than the cheap one they offer.

The Tamron is a quality lens. Matt Grainger from GYGO loves it! It will be cheaper too. As said though, get the SP version rather than the LD.

Re my Flickr, they're pretty average tbh mate. Lols. Thanks though. ;)

Think I'm going to just go for the nikon 70-300mm thanks again!

Okay cheers mate will not to use that site then lol. Ended up buying it off one off the blokes off here so was all good lol Have a Good Christmas!

DEFINITELY A SCAM SITE!!!

Tried to buy a flash from them last night and had the same problem with payment details. Phoned my CC company and cancelled my card to be on the safe side. The London based phone number is an inssurance firm, spoke to a very helpful lady who said the police are looking into it.

STEAR CLEAR!
