What camera strap do you use?

I did something thats worked really well. I have a genuine Nikon camera bag that has a strap and padded section at the top held on with velcro. I took it off and put it around my camera strap and its much more comfy and padded and best of all it was free!

i use two optech straps with slings adapters on caribners, those are attached to a tripod plate on battery grips. Hard to explained but fationed into one strap sytem to carry both cameras that utalise the sling. Fits snuggly under a jacket and easy to take apart to use just one camera.

I just received an Optech Pro Loop and though I like it, I find it's a tad short even at it's longest setting, and with it wrapped over my shoulder and neck I find the D700 w/ grip and 80-200 doesn't hang vertically from my hip - the lens points horizontally.

I blame this on the last section of webbing being too thick and sturdy, it needs to be flimsier. Having a foot and a bit of lens trying to stick out horizontally is a nuisance and a half.

Tony!

Optech pro all the way but support our forum advertisers and contact Stuart at Digital Depot! He will do superb service and swift delivery fo sho!

Argh! You ordered from amazon :(

I got one of those and its superb but are you finding the hole on the metal plate where the clip goes in is starting to wear and get bigger?

Never used it TBH....... I clip it into the QR plate off my tripod, so the bracket supplied with it is kicking around my junk box somewhere.

 Tony - this is the time I wished you had made a decision more slowly

Check out Digital Depot if you need any other kit - they are pretty darn good :D

Black Rapid strap here as well, it feels safer having the camera to the side rather than being on display in front.

Small pet collar as wrist-strap, plus Lowepro Voyager wide neoprene strap (latest purchase was from the bargain bin at Dixons Aberdeen airport !), with quick-release buckles off a garden hanging basket kit

OP/TECH Super Classic Strap - Carrying strap - black

This no good then?

Double quick strap for me: But as others have said, the hole in the plate wears very quickly. No problem with the "hook" yet, but the swivel section does look a bit iffy. I am looking at getting some plates made up in stainless steel. The screw in connector from the r-strap doesn't wear, but sometimes the camera doesn't hang how I prefer it when using one of those.

Thanks. Hope to get it this week to use on my new camera.
