What are you doing today?

Getting Rat Arsed!! And I achieved it :thumbs:
 
Going to visit a family member in one of God's many waiting rooms where 20 people sit or slump around with no dignity in various deteriorating vegetative states waiting for their number to be called.

The frustration at the situation comes from not being able to turn the clock back or change anything.

Alcohol already in the fridge ready for when I get back home.
 
Finish firing a new kitchen sink and taps for my mum, then off for a walk along the coast. And possibly a couple of beers
 
Cleaning up the house, my old folks are coming over to stay with me for 2 weeks, well worth it the boot of their car is packed with cases of wine !!!!
 
Going car shopping. So it's a dealer fest for me a and the biffa today.
 
washing and cleaning today,and maybe a walk this afternoon into the hills.
 
Lifting heavy things and putting them back down again. Might go take some photos too.
 
Recovering. After having forty for a BBQ yesterday for which we have to provide enough food for 80 - wimmin!

But we'll also be going to our favourite Italian restaurant for lunch with a lovely couple who travelled down from N Wales.
 
Gym for a run and some weight training. Then teaching a few friends how to use their new Dslrs. Payment in beer, no complaints :)
 
Gardening...earthed up my spuds, pulling my onions, finish my window box ready for planting. Watering my wild flower patch that was boring grass for 30 years. Having a bottle of Bishops Finger sat on my garden seat watching the swifts feeding overhead. :thumbs:

Do we have a gardening thread? if not perhaps we should.

coughing my guts up while wondering if this man flu is ever going to let go of me ( I was propperly sick about a week ago - now i just have this persistent dry cough)

I did manage a visit to lydford gorge , but walking along coughing and hacking and spitting nauseous green things into the river wasnt the most ammusing day out
 
Did all my gardening yesterday.

Been enjoying the sunshine down on the Loch (Loch Tay) today with the kids.

Fully understand Pete - I have the same sense of humour, otherwise I wouldn't have made the comments.

Suffice to say a vet would not let an animal go on living in this much pain, suffering, confusion and bewilderment.

My sister is firmly of the belief in "Life at any cost" - I am not, so we have agreed no-go areas of conversation.

It is extremely hard not to ask the "biggest" questions when you see a loved one drugged up to the eyeballs, barely conscious, totally incontinent and needing 24 hour care, just waiting for the body to fail completely, as in this case there is no hope of recovery.

It just seems so medieval.
 
Yes i'm with you on this one - personally i think dignitas is the way to go, but I doubt the mods will thank us for starting a discussion on that here

Quite agree Pete and I never meant to hijack or side track the OP's thread or intentions at all.

What am I doing today? Sitting my final exam for my degree, then getting wasted

Keep them in the right order - a mate of mine got wasted before finals then sat them rat arsed - strangely enough he actually got a 2:1 but its a high risk strategy :lol:

Just finished making a pigs earole of loading images on flickr then off in about 10mins to clean other peoples mess up.
 
Conducting interviews. Really not my scene at all, so forgetting each one in between with some Remy. :suspect:
 
Going to the smoke later today and staying over. Collecting an award tomorrow.
 
Tonight I'm sampling some award winning Captain Bligh XO Special Reserve Rum - a first for me.

It's warming the cockles of the heart so far................................
 
It's a hard life here!

Caught the bus into town for breakfast, went shopping until lunchtime. Went for a walk after lunch in the sun (high 20s here ATM) and took a few photos (which will have to wait for resizing etc until our return). Now sat at the bar with a frappe.

Sympathies to all those who've done or are doing the waiting for Thanatos thing - we'd be prosecuted if we made our pets suffer like we have to make humans do.
 
It's my birthday today so enjoying celebrations and all that stuff.
Even found time to go out into the garden and do some work there too.
Bliss!

Chilling at Longueville Manor on Jersey. I've stayed in some good hotels in the world, but this has got to be up there with the best. Utter class! :)
