I have seen two types before, one was like a pair of scissors with two opposing spring loaded hooks that slid over then closed around the post, and the other was like a keyhole with a spring loaded clip to keep the post on the narrow end of the hole.

Either looking for the ends (preferable) or a complete strap.

I haven't found anything, probably because I don't now what to look for!

Yes, it is a Voigtlander Vito B, but all the Vito range, at least the ones with the shutter release on the top (and possibly others) have the same fitting.
 
Don't they take the old-style leather strap that has the keyhole cutout in the end, larger hole for pushing the post through but when weight is applied ie the camera held by the strap, it goes to the thin end of the cutout? I've got a couple but they are packed away in a storage unit, un-accessible at present.

I think they may be refered to as "strap posts".

You can make a strap that fits using a leather punch that makes a hole just slightly wider than the narrow part of the post. You then make a slit in the strap just long enough to push the strap over the wide part of the post.

Yes, there were some like that, I think they came with the camera, but we also had ones with metal ends, which is what I would like, I don't really trust the leather only ones..

Thanks, I have a full set of punches from 1.5mm to 25mm, then bigger half or full circle ones, but really would like metal ends.
