Yes
got up early this morning sky grey and boring but misty, so i thought i might head off to one of the local resevoir's,with my new toy, nikon D200, could be interesting, right, camera, check, tripod, check, battery charged, check, then it hit me, I DONT HAVE A B****Y CF CARD YET!!, only ordered one yesterday, its my age you know. :bonk::geek::bonk::geek:

But at least it hit you before you got out there........yes?

I did that when I first got my 450D. Took my first shots, removed card and copied them to the computer, put camera away.
Went to my niece's Christening with card still attached to computer! (fortunately, I bought 2 cards and the other was in the bag, so no big disaster, but a mild panic when I took the first shot and it said 'NO CARD') :bang:

Did you know, you can take a piece of silver paper from the inside of a packet of Senior Service. Fold it into the size and shape of your CF card and insert that into the slot.

It won't do any good but will help pass the time whilst awaiting the delivery of your card :D

My moment of shame was just last week. Travelled to Nottingham for wee brother's wedding, and forgot to pack the ruddy camera bag. No photos at all.....:bang:

Been there, done that on more than one occasion :bonk: It's even more annoying when you have driven hours to get to the location and realise that your battery or CF card is still at home......... not that I have ever done that, of course!

i could have understood maybe going and forgetting my card, but i dont even bloody have one to forget!, :bonk:

I tried to return my brand new D90 to calumet because it wouldn't switch on. Phoned them up and organised to take it in the following day. Then....... realised I'd put the uncharged battery in the camera, took it out, turned round, picked it up again thinking it was the fully charged one, put it back in the camera and had a fit when it didn't work.
Quickly phone Calumet back and apologised whilst using a fake French accent and wearing a false beard. Doh.

my best one so far is going to a shoot with a model big rack of dresses flashgun modifiers everything packed up and forgetting the transmitter for my trigger :S

gotta love a 50mm prime lol

Like me,we decided to go for a walk to the lake ...what did I decide to do ,leave camera bag at home and my camera decided to die on me when I was out there trying to shoot swans

Never forgot any of my camera equipment as it always gets triple checked. Did once go for a weekend in Northern Ireland and left the bag with my clothes in on the kitchen floor. :bang::bang::bang: Still got the shots though!

I always check 'disable shutter if no CF card' option for this very reason...
Used to happen a lot in the old days - shooting a whole group photo with an empty hasselblad magazine attached...sometimes it was a quite important gig - like the 'nameless' phot at Hereford (Frankie Proctor, you droob) who did the cross-brief Group (all the SF Heads from NATO) with an empty camera then fibbed about it for 6 months to the bosses there instead of 'fessing'-up...lol
