What am I missing??

Ok everyone, i'm obviously being completely dense here so am hoping someone can show me the simple thing that i'm missing/doing wrong!

I've picked up a D300 as a second body to back up my D3. Taken some shots the other day and the colours on my D300 aren't a patch on the D3 - the difference is that big that I must have a setting somewhere that needs changing - but i've been through everything and I can't see what it could be!!

Please someone put me out of my misery and tell me what i'm missing....and feel free to tell me i'm being completely dense if its something simple!!
 
Have you got picture control on the D3 set to 'vivid?

Aha! Sorted! Completely forgot that even within standard in picture control, you can still go in and tweak the settings. The difference was in there - my D3 was different in that section.

Amazing how you can spend an hour scratching your head, then a quick chat or post on a forum and on comes the lightbulb!!
