who the hell is richard you are all saying,.........
well richard is the young man who has been very helpfull and is an absolute star.......but who the hell is he you are all shouting by now........
well richard works for 'APERTURE',and as their advert says 'uncompromised quality and service'
i was after a ef 400mm f2.8,so i rang 'APERTURE' enquiring,to be informed very politely they had none in stock,but did have a ef 500mm f4.5 l,i asked the usual questions regarding it,and asked if richard could send me some images.
he explained he was on his own at the time and very busy,which i accepted.he said if he got time as it was nearly closing,he would try,send them to me.
low and behold the lad came through with them,and e-mailed them to me.
on inspection of the images they were very good,detailing all angles of the lens,and stating some info as well.
please with the condition of the lens,i decided to purchase it today:09-07-08.
i rang and was greeted by richard who explained he was still on his own,and had been busy today.he got all the relevant information across regarding paymentpostage and delivery times.
so the lens is on its way to me,to which i am very happy and glad about.
you are all saying so what.....well its nice to find a shop with staff who are so polite,and helpfull to go out of their way to please the customer.
SO IF YOU GET TO READ THIS RICHARD,'YOU ARE A STAR',:clap::clap::clap:as the saying goes,and i will definitely deal with 'APERTURE' again.

first time i have dealt with them,but not the last,and i don't get paid to advertise for them,
i was just pleased to get a proffesional service from a company,i have dealt with many a camera shop in my 35 years of photography,and to find this kind of service,you have to admit yourself is down right good.no more plugs for them,i have said it already.cheers all out there,many thanks paul
 
well the canon ef500mm f4.5 usm l tele arrived this morning,took me about 10 minutes to get into the thing,talk about being well packed and protected.
on getting the lens out of the flight case,i was pleased to see how nice a condition it was in,exc++ was advertised,but in reality i think it deserves better,an od bit of paint off and a couple of marks,which a bit of cif removed.
had to phone them to verify arrival of lens,and while on the phone complemented them again for the great service they had provided,and how pleased i was with the lens.
shame i live so far away,up here in bridlington,certainly would like to pay a visit to the shop,and maybe purchase some more equiptment from them.cheers paul
