What’s the difference?

OK , so apart from the “a” , what’s the difference between the Nikon EN-EL15 and the EN-EL15a battery?
Need an additional for my D500, Nikon store say nothing , but there must be a difference otherwise they wouldn’t sell both.

Updated EN-EL15, EN-EL15a battery with higher capacity to assist with longer video recording and greater shots per charge. replaces EN-EL15
