This January, we will be holding our first annual Photography Open Exhibition in our gallery space in Hoxton, London.
Entry is open to all photographers and artists and all entries are guaranteed to be exhibited.

Submission costs £12 and each photograph entered will be produced as an acrylic print by us, and will be up for sale at the exhibition. If your print does not sell, it is yours to keep after the exhibition!

Deadline for entries is 5th January. Entry is limited to one image per artist.

For more information and to submit a photograph, please visit this page... https://wellhung.co.uk/product/photography-open-submission/

How long does it take for the payment confirmation email to be sent out?

At the least it a cheap acrylic :)

Yes, nothing lost really!

Gramps - Did you not receive an order confirmation after you paid for the submission? We've had quite a few apply, but no ones sent an image? Strange

No order confirmation received, maybe that's why you haven't received any images

Can't seem to work out why people aren't getting confirmation e-mails, so please just e-mail over the image to info@wellhung.co.uk, with your name in the subject.

"Images must be resized to actual print". Easy enough to do but there's no indication as to what resolution's required! Presumably it'll be the "normal" 300 pixels per inch.

It says 300

Ideally 300PPI at actual print size. If the resolution isn't exactly this when re-sized to 18x12, then it's not a problem to leave it as is, as long as it doesn't fall below 150 PPI

Found it about 4 clicks into the site. Just need to find something worth submitting!

Presumably they need to be print ready JPEGs, sharpened as necessary?

Hi John,

Ideally the images should be print ready. The main thing is that they are correctly re-sized to be 12x18 - other wise, we will just use our best judgement to crop the images. For this size print (and to be able to e-mail the image) then A JPEG would be fine.

Cheers for the reply. Resizing's the easy bit, choosing one image to be submitted is going to be less easy!

Interesting concept.

If it doesn't sell, it's something new to stick in the study.

Hi all,

I just wanted to say that we've extended the submission deadline to January 11th, so there's still time to submit an image. The exhibition is now due to run from Jan 17th - Feb 22nd.

We've had some fantastic entries so far, so it should be a great show!

Also, we've now decided that all photographs will be printed and mounted by onto 18mm Birch Plywood. These PlyPrints are going to be a new product of ours, that will be launched next month. Here's a pic of one of the entries that we've made up:
