Western Digital nas drive

Hi all,

I have a wd nas drive that I have loaded with photos from PC and laptop. I would like to transfer some to my ipad but cannot for the life of me work out how to do it! I can view the pics using the wd to go app but can't copy or paste or any thing - all I can do is email them to myself which seems ridiculous ! Can anyone help?

Is there no app to transfer them by WiFi? Or do it via your PC/laptop (via the USB lead)? Or get yourself an OTG cable and connect the drive directly by USB?

This is why I don't "do" Apple, closed system, tries to be completely incompatible with everything else.... Or at least make it incredibly difficult to do anything without buying special kit from Apple.
