I'll be in Western Brittany later in the year and we've not been to this area before. Anyone have any inspiration for landscape/architectural photography locations please? I'll be getting the ferry to Roscoff and then heading down towards the Quimper area.

Dont take the motorway
and let the B roads unfold
you will be surprised what you find
also if you see something you like, stop the car/van? and enjoy
Kind regards
B

Been to Lorient, Carnac . Lovely small towns, very picturesque and Quimper is lovely

That's good advice - I was thinking of taking the scenic route down from Roscoff anyway. Not always that easy to stop off for taking pictures with a toddler in tow but I'll see how it goes!

Thanks for the insight - We'll be right by Benodet so I'll go and have a look around and also head up to Quimper. We'll see how the holiday goes as far as getting further afield is concerned! :)

The whole length of the Quiberon Peninsular's (Presqu'ile de Quiberon) Cote Sauvage is tremendous for photography inc.sunsets.
Bretagne and its people are great - and the seafood is the best in the world.

It looks like we'll be heading down there with glowing recommendations like these! I've visited the St Malo area before and really enjoyed the food in general - the markets are great as are the people.

Well, we didn't get about as much as I'd like, but I'll certainly agree Benodet and the surrounding area is very nice for seascapes. Plenty of nice vista's around and plenty of lighthouses as well. The walled town part of Concarneau is also well worth a visit.
