well either way mine arrived safe and sound a few days ago and I'd recomend you to anyone as an honest bloke ;)
 
Just out of interest, what was the declared value and did you get hit for Customs?
 
Yup, got hit for customs - for an order of $605 the total for Duty/VAT/Brokerage surcharges was £93...

D'you agree with their working out?

FedEx like you to sign for a package so they can send a Customs bill a couple of weeks later. In my case I could show they'd guesstimated the shipping cost and they cancelled the charge ;)
 
It's just about what I expected - the duty gets added to the cost price, then the VAT is calculated on the cost + duty, plus UPS added an £11 brokerage charge...

It does say a final invoice will follow where actual charges may differ from the estimate that I paid, but if they can't get it right first time after all these years, they must be bloody stupid...

Hi guys, sorry to ignite an oldish thread - just curious about a few things:

1) How did the group buy go? Well?

2) What did the final cost end up as per-person?

3) Did everybody get the same model or different models?

4) Is there another group buy in the pipeline? I'd like to get a brolly or a softbox or something soon.....
