What absolutely disgraceful scenes at West Ham yesterday. I'm no Man Utd fan (if I'm honest because I'm jealous of their success), but behaving like that was ridiculous. Even worst, the very last game held at a ground with over 100 years of history. I hope they're proud of themselves because I'm sure almost every fan of every team in the country is appalled by their behaviour. Instead of having the game and ground celebrated in the news this morning like it should have been, we've pictures and footage of yobs smashing up the coach and then tearing the ground up. Well done, you morons.
 
Always had a soft spot for West Ham until yesterday.
 
I can think of a lot of things they are, 'fans' isn't one of them.
 
They aren't real fans, are they? Just hooligans looking for an excuse to behave badly. I hope they are found, arrested and have several books thrown at them. A life ban should be just the start. There will always be people who use anything as an excuse to do what they want. Look at all the violence associated with religion. Nothing to do with religion. Bobby Moore would be appalled.
 
man united knew what they where doing.. turning up late to drive the bus through thousands of west ham fans.. they did it against spurs... OK not condoning what happened... but if i leave my car windows open and a camera on the back seat.. would you condone someone stealing it or blame me ?

Are you serious? Why on Earth would they do that? What possible benefit to the team would having to drive the coach through that and being late have? Maybe, and I can't be certain, the traffic was an issue for this and the Tottenham game? I don't live there, but I've heard very rarely London can be a touch congested with traffic.
 
I think the key shot was the hundreds of beer can littering the streets - looks like there was a pre-match party to say goodbye to an old friend and a few people probably had too much to drink.

It's a journey MU have made a few times too.
On such an occasion, they should have anticipated heavier than usual congestion (traffic and people) in the area, and timed their bus journey more wisely.
I'm not condoning the action of the West Ham "fans", not at all, but the late arrival does smack of a touch of gamesmanship gone wrong.

But surely if Man U turned up late the fans would be in the ground waiting for the game to start. Are Man U also to blame for seats being torn up or signs stolen too?
 
why should football team change their routine when the ground they are going to holds no more people than previous games? the 'fans' are to blame for this, end of.
 
having grown up in the east end ,why does it not surprise me .couldn't wait to escape 50 years ago and it don't sound any better now .that will really make life pleasant for anyone with a london accent in manchester for a while NOT :runaway::runaway::runaway:

Once again let me reiterate that I'm not condoning the attack of the bus....

There were always going to be thousands more at the scene than the ground could hold. The police were aware of the street party planned around the ground following the match, the club had made them aware themselves and no objection was made by the police.

And whilst the removal of items from within the ground, like Wembley, many of the fans were told if they could remove it, they could take it, and as I understand it season ticket holders who requested the seats they had sat in, some for many years, were informed that although they were not permitted to bring tools into the ground, if they could remove the seat they could take it.
That part is being blown out of all proportion and context.

There's ALOT of footage of the bus attack.
Doubtless quite a few charges will follow.

So it probably wouldn't have mattered whether Man U turned up early or late, there would still be hoards of "fans" hanging around whatever time they turned up.
 
Did manutd actually turn up at the ground late? That was not my understanding last night when waiting for the game on TV and their manager claims they were actually behind the west ham bus before being blocked.
Pure and simple, there are some scum amongst the west ham fans, as there are many other clubs. I'm surprised david de gea hasn't been accused of standing too close to the west ham fans when they launched bottles at him during the game.
 
From a thread on another website, so can't vouch for the accuracy!

I gather the Utd bus got there around 6 but took until 7.10 to get to a position where the players could get off. Even West Ham's bus was delayed not getting in 'til 6.30. Given the porn baron's suggestion that Utd's players should've been there by 4pm I'm surprised West Ham's bus turned up so late.

Away teams are given the opportunity to warm up on the pitch the match will be played on.
Nothing new.
Not obligatory though.

You weren't allowed to in the 70's ........ but it still happened. :D

On the national news the day before the game, they mentioned asking fans not to go onto the pitch after the game (yeah, as if that's gonna happen) because they were selling the turf & also mentioned selling the seats @ £500 each.
 
Man utd winning the fa cup today did west ham a massive favour s it means west ham are now in the europa league........ is this karma gone wrong ?:)
